Basketball Recap: Reading Comes Up Short

Reading was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Bronson Vikings, falling 75-55. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-38 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Reading still got an impressive performance from Brayden Wright, who went 10 of 15 on his way to 22 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. With that strong performance, Wright is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. Another player making a difference was Carter Bassage, who went 7 for 17 en route to 19 points.

Bronson had a senior duo take command as Boston Bucklin posted eight points along with six rebounds and five assists and Kamron Brackett went 9 of 20 on his way to 21 points and five steals. Brackett has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more points the last four times he's played. Owen Losinski was another key player, going 5 for 8 en route to 14 points.

Reading's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Bronson, they moved to 7-8 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Reading has already played their next game, a 71-24 loss against Quincy on the 31st. As for Bronson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-46 defeat against Concord on the 31st.
