There's no place like home for the Bowen Boilermakers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They welcomed the New Year with a 20-14 win over Air Force Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Bowen, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Bowen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but D'Mya Adams led the charge by scoring five points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Adams is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kimora Myles was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
The win got Bowen back to even at 6-6. As for Air Force Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Bowen will head out on the road to challenge Tilden at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Air Force Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Little Village at 5:00 p.m. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Little Village: 21.6, Air Force Academy: 26.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
