Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boca Raton Christian). They managed a 93-88 win over the Jupiter Christian Eagles on Friday. This was payback for the Blazers, who suffered a 56-54 loss the last time these two teams met.

Matthew Barrett and Jordan Rivera certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Barrett dropped a double-double on 36 points and 20 boards, while Rivera went 9 of 14 on his way to 25 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. That was a full 40.9% of Jupiter Christian's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Becker, who put up 13 points and seven rebounds.

The victory got Boca Raton Christian back to even at 4-4. As for Jupiter Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Boca Raton Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dreyfoos School of the Arts at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Boca Raton Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Dreyfoos School of the Arts likes a good challenge. As for Jupiter Christian, they and Berean Christian will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
