This season hasn't been kind to The Linden-McKinley Panthers, who are still winless after their tenth match. They had to suffer through a rough 40-8 loss at the hands of East. Linden-McKinley lost against East in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 45-20 score last time.
Taizaun Burns continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for East, rushing for 150 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while also throwing for 150 yards and a touchdown on only 14 passes. Burns is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Marsean Bowles got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Linden-McKinley's loss was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. As for East, the victory was the third in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Linden-McKinley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. East will be playing at home against Licking Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
