The Gracemont Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their eighth straight loss. They lost to Carnegie on the road by a decisive 54-36 margin. Gracemont has struggled against Carnegie recently, as their contest on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Karlee Tahkofper was her usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with seven steals for Carnegie. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tahkofper has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Harley Gastineau, who scored eight points along with seven steals.
Gracemont's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Carnegie, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
Gracemont will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Blair at 6:30 p.m. Carnegie will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Lone Wolf at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
