There's no place like home for the Lebanon Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They strolled past Turpin with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 54-38. That's another feather in the cap for Lebanon, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Sophia Schiano and Josie Carrelli certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Schiano scored 7 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks, while Carrelli scored 13 points along with 4 steals. Carrelli is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kyla Zananiri was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
The victory got Lebanon back to even at 1-1. As for Turpin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lebanon will take on Kings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Turpin, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against West Clermont at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully West Clermont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday.
