The Stevensville Yellowjackets will head out to square off against the East Helena Vigilantes at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Stevensville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.
Stevensville took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Hamilton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Yellowjackets skirted past the Broncs 10-9. Ten seems to be a good number for the Yellowjackets as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Morgan Yeager spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up ten Ks.

Newsom has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Davids, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Stevensville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in six consecutive matchups.
East Helena came out on top against Park on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Vigilantes put the hurt on the Rangers with a sharp 8-2 victory.
East Helena let Madison Hogue and Maya Westerhold run wild. Hogue went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one double, while Westerhold went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base was Westerhold's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Maddie Surginer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI.
Stevensville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for East Helena, their record now sits at 2-3.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Stevensville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .405. However, it's not like East Helena struggles in that department as they've averaged .353. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
