Darien Whitaker's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Starting off the list is Boys Town's Darien Whitaker, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Whitaker made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss), good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 110.1 rushing yards per game.

Tonjes Made His Presence Known in Ashland-Greenwood's 45-14 Win
Derek Tonjes was instrumental in extending Ashland-Greenwood's winning streak to six on Friday. Brownell Talbot had no answer to Tonjes as he threw for 175 yards and four touchdowns on only ten passes.
On the year, Tonjes has thrown 21 touchdowns while averaging 206.1 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 4.75 passing yards per game.

Post Came Up Big in Roncalli Catholic's 28-14 Loss
Roncalli Catholic had to settle for second on Friday, but Jackson Post sure wasn't going down easily. Post was dynamite, picking up 114 receiving yards and a touchdown. His longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards.
This season, Post has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 43.1 receiving yards per game.

Akhil Mehta Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Akhil Mehta of Brownell Talbot. Mehta made two total tackles.
Brownell Talbot is on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8. Mehta and Brownell Talbot are taking a road trip to face off against Boys Town at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
