Softball Recap: University School of Nashville Makes It Three in a Row at Home

University School of Nashville had won three straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 6-10 to make it four. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the East Nashville Magnet Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Eagles last Tuesday, they had to take a 17-16 defeat.

Lynden Anckner was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Caroline Keiper was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

As for East Nashville Magnet, they now have a losing record of 4-5. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

On East Nashville Magnet's side, Justice Clark made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That double was Clark's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zy'shu Hills, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Coincidentally, University School of Nashville and East Nashville Magnet will both be playing St. Cecilia Academy the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Scarabs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Eagles will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
