There's no place like home for the Honey Grove Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They strolled past Celeste with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 55-36. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Honey Grove also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kennedy Compton, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Taylea West, who scored eight points.
Honey Grove is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Celeste, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-7.
Honey Grove will head out on the road to face off against Bland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bland's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so Honey Grove's offense will have their work cut out for Honey Grove. As for Celeste, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Tom Bean at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Tom Bean focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
