It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Washington had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Morris Redskins. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on four straight.
Gavin Lawrence spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Camden Augustine was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May.
Washington's win bumped their record up to 28-10. As for Morris, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 27-9.
