The ThunderRidge Grizzlies will face off against the Poudre Impalas at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Last Friday, ThunderRidge came up short against Highlands Ranch and fell 50-39. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Falcons are ranked fifth).

 Claire Wilson
| 02/21/25 @ Highlands Ranch | 50% |
| 02/18/25 @ Douglas County | 60% |
| 02/14/25 @ Mountain Vista | 67% |
| 02/12/25 vs Heritage | 100% |
Despite their loss, ThunderRidge saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Claire Wilson, who posted eight points and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Wilson is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Candace 'Cc' Baker, who had 12 points and five boards.
Meanwhile, Poudre earned a 53-46 win over Fort Collins on Thursday. The Impalas haven't had any issues with the Lambkins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Poudre had a senior duo take command as Jaqueline Forrest to rack up 18 points and seven rebounds and Kavi Voglund en route to 19 points and seven boards. What's more, Forrest also posted a 54% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024. Elli Beauprez was another key player, putting up six points and ten rebounds.
Poudre's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-13. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points over those games. As for ThunderRidge, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: ThunderRidge has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 27 boards per game. However, it's not like Poudre struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
ThunderRidge strolled past Poudre in their previous meeting back in January of 2016 by a score of 43-29. Will ThunderRidge repeat their success, or does Poudre have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
