Basketball Recap: Clinton Piles Up the Points Against South Lenoir

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Clinton on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the South Lenoir Blue Devils out of the water with a 56-14 final score. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Dark Horses had established a 32 point advantage.

Clinton was led to victory by Rubi Davila and Janiyah Simmons. Davila went 6 of 12 en route to 16 points, while Simmons posted ten points and seven steals. Those ten points gave Simmons a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Janiya Mosley, who put up four points and five steals.

The win (which was Clinton's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 50.8 points. As for South Lenoir, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
