After two games on the road, Rockvale is heading back home. They will take on the Riverdale Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Rockvale's game on Tuesday was all tied up 23-23 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 49-38 to Blackman.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Maritza Wright, who scored 11 points. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Ayeden Wilkerson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Riverdale's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 67-31 loss at the hands of Oakland. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Riverdale in their matchups with Oakland: they've now lost seven in a row.
Rockvale's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Riverdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
Rockvale beat Riverdale 60-47 when the teams last played back in January. Does Rockvale have another victory up their sleeve, or will Riverdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
