Given South Lake's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while Mount Dora is ranked 514th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
South Lake got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Braden White out in front who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of kevens charles, who scored 10 points.
South Lake now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mount Dora, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
South Lake won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Central Florida Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. One thing working in Central Florida Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. Mount Dora will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against DeLand at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st.
