There's no place like home for the Altamonte Christian Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 72-54 victory over Morningside Academy on Friday.
Altamonte Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashton Billings out in front who scored 20 points along with three steals. Billings is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Vincent Lee was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Morningside Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elijah Clifford, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Elijah Bell, who scored 14 points.
Altamonte Christian pushed their record up to 12-8 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.8 points per game. As for Morningside Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.
