Lucerne Valley has struggled against Academy of Careers & Exploration recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Lucerne Valley's loss came despite strong showings from Derrick Tyler and Christian Barajas. Tyler scored 32 points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Barajas dropped a double-double on 14 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tyler has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Sepulveda, who scored three points along with 13 rebounds and six assists.
Lucerne Valley has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Academy of Careers & Exploration, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

As for Academy of Careers & Exploration, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Apple Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
