Seminole Ridge is 1-8 against Royal Palm Beach since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Seminole Ridge Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Seminole Ridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 510th, while Royal Palm Beach is ranked 113th).
Last Friday, Seminole Ridge was beaten by Leonard 70-40. Seminole Ridge has struggled against Leonard recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Calvin Warren, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cliff Georges, who scored 9 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Royal Palm Beach had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past Clewiston, posting a 78-24 win at home.
Their wins bumped Seminole Ridge to 1-5 and Leonard to 3-0.
Seminole Ridge lost to Royal Palm Beach on the road by a decisive 64-50 margin in their previous matchup back in January. Can Seminole Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
