The Midland Timberwolves will venture away from home to face off against the Hall Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Midland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Midland is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since April 22nd on Wednesday. They lost 16-1 to St. Bede. The loss continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their meetings with the Bruins: they've now lost six in a row.
Emma Frank (2026) made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hall, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Fieldcrest on Wednesday as they made off with a 14-3 victory. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Madison Krewer was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box, earning two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Ava Delphi and Charlie Pellegrini did most of the damage at the plate: Delphi went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Pellegrini went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits Delphi has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jessica Casford, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Hall hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fieldcrest struck out nine times.
Hall's record is now 8-21. As for Midland, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.
Midland skirted past Hall 14-13 in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Timberwolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
