Prince George is a perfect 3-0 against Freeman since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Royals will look to defend their home field against the Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.
Freeman will be up against a hot Prince George team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Royals never let Petersburg get on the board and left with a 19-0 win on Thursday. Fans of the Royals have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Payton Finney and Kaitlyn Hacker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Finney struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Hacker pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Finney scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2, while Hacker went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Hacker is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Riley Hacker was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lexie Foster, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Freeman). They put the hurt on Maggie Walker with a sharp 14-4 victory on Wednesday.
Like Prince George, Freeman also got a great game from a two-way player: Caroline Baird. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. That's the most strikeouts Baird has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kayleigh Perks, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Oakley Cotropia was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Freeman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Prince George pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.7 runs over those games. As for Freeman, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Freeman's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Prince George has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Freeman, though, as they've been averaging 11 hits. Given Prince George's sizable advantage in that area, the Mavericks will need to find a way to close that gap.
Prince George took their victory against Freeman in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 19-3 score. Will the Royals repeat their success, or do the Mavericks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
