The Brevard Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by East Rutherford on the road and fell 63-23. Brevard has struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as their contest on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Jada Whitesides was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten steals for East Rutherford. Whitesides hasn't dropped below two steals for 16 straight games. Another player making a difference was Kadence Vanover, who scored 19 points.
Brevard's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for East Rutherford, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with that victory, which was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season.
Brevard will take on the Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Rutherford, they will head out on the road to challenge the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chase comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last 13 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
