The Kingsland Knights's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They put the hurt on LeRoy-Ostrander with a sharp 63-38 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Kingsland has posted since December 11, 2023.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Benita Nolt, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Nolt has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Miranda Nagel was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Kingsland pushed their record up to 9-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for LeRoy-Ostrander, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.
Kingsland will look to defend their home court on Monday against Houston at 7:15 p.m. Houston is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for LeRoy-Ostrander, they will head out on the road to challenge St. Charles at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. St. Charles comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
