The Orleans Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Paoli Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Orleans will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.
Orleans can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North Harrison 64-36 on the road. Given Orleans' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while North Harrison is ranked 390th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Orleans can attribute much of their success to Xavier Alston, who scored 16 points along with seven steals, and Rylan Crocker, who scored 20 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Hall, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Paoli beat Springs Valley 57-47 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Paoli.
Orleans' win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. As for Paoli, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Orleans strolled past Paoli when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 46-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Orleans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
