The Central Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 51-43 to Buford. Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Central still got an impressive performance from Jordyn Griffin, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Griffin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kabreyia Covington, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Central has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Buford, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.
Central will take on the Volunteers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Andrew Jackson will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak. As for Buford, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Patriots at 6:30 p.m.
