Moshannon Valley has struggled against Curwensville recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Curwensville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Davis Fleming led the charge by scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Fleming is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played. Hunter Tkacik was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Moshannon Valley's defeat was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Curwensville, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moshannon Valley will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against West Branch at 7:15 p.m. on February 9th. As for Curwensville, they will challenge DuBois Central Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
