After flying high against Elba on Thursday, Riverside came back down to earth. The Chargers fell just short of the Nebraska Christian Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Chargers' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Tessa Weltruski paced Riverside's offense, picking up 20 kills. Weltruski got some help from Ella Molt and her 40 assists. Brynn Seamann and Addy Seamann kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Nebraska Christian, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-4.

Riverside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Archangels Catholic on the 18th. As for Nebraska Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Central Valley on the 18th.
