Bucktail moved up to 479 from 522 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in All-American. The Bucks were able to make the jump by topping Cowanesque Valley 48-8.
Pius X's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Aaron Savelli threw for 65 and two touchdowns and Dashon Russell had 49 yards receiving. On the ground TJ Belle chipped in 22 yards. Tre Jordan helped Pius X's passing attack out by catching three balls for 46 yards.
Pius X's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Royals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Savelli has thrown for 595 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Eric "E-Bo" Marbury has 30 catches for 395 yards. Belle leads the league in rushing with 150 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Royals take on Nativity BVM. At the moment, Pius X is in third, while Nativity BVM is in second.
Bucktail led All-American in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on the Indians.
