While DeSoto Central's victory against St. George wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Jaguars had just enough and edged out the Gryphons 3-2 on Wednesday. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Gryphons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day DeSoto Central got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-19, 23-25, 25-18, 13-25, 15-11.

Their offense was headlined by Genesis Weeks and Ellie Nehls, who picked up 14 kills apiece. They got some help from Natalie Loftin and her 19 assists. Remy Mcintosh controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

DeSoto Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for St. George's, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

DeSoto Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Southaven on the 28th. St. George's has also already played their next game (against First Assembly Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
