Basketball Recap: Calvary Day School Falls Despite Big Games from Caleb Autry and Dane Cassada

If Calvary Day School was riding high fresh off their 75-33 takedown of Westchester Country Day last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Calvary Day School Cougars fell 75-68 to the High Point Christian Academy Cougars on Friday. Calvary Day School was not able to make up for their defeat to High Point Christian Academy from their previous meeting back in January.

Dane Cassada and Caleb Autry certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Cassada posted 22 points and five rebounds, while Autry almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Cassada's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Owen Calvert was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Calvary Day School's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3. As for High Point Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Calvary Day School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 70-46 victory against Walkertown on the 7th. As for High Point Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-52 win against Burlington Christian Academy on the 7th.
