Basketball Recap: Paul Morency's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Trinity Christian Academy over Oxbridge Academy

Trinity Christian Academy was the 52-45 winner over Oxbridge Academy when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trinity Christian Academy Warriors took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves on Thursday.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Paul Morency, who posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave Morency a new career-high. Jaden Lopez was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Oxbridge Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden St. Fort, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 16 points. St. Fort's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Edwards Dunkley, who had nine points.

Trinity Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Oxbridge Academy, with the victory, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-8.

Trinity Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 53-35 win against Coconut Creek on the 3rd. As for Oxbridge Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 81-37 loss against Atlantic on the 3rd.
