Baseball Recap: Bloomingdale Has No Trouble Against Chamberlain

Bloomingdale got themselves on the board against Chamberlain on Saturday, but Chamberlain never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Storm with a sharp 11-0 victory. The Bulls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Javier Navas-Hoyer looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Jack Grant was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Payton Jennings, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Bloomingdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bloomingdale's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Chamberlain, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Looking ahead, Bloomingdale will take on Spoto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chamberlain, they will face off against King at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games King has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
