The Allen Mustangs will face off against the Wright City Lumberjax at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Allen knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Wright City likes a good challenge.
Allen is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 60-26 victory over Wellston. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 30 points or more this season.

Allen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaylee Davis, who went 6-for-9 en route to 16 points and five rebounds. What's more, Davis also posted a 67% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Cherish Woodward was another key player, putting up 12 points along with eight steals and seven boards.
Allen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Wright City beat Canadian 50-40 two weeks ago. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lumberjax.
Wright City's win came from a few key players Allen will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mia Reich, who went 6-for-11 on her way to 18 points and seven rebounds. Her big performance that morning made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Miller, who posted 11 points and three steals.
Allen is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points over those games. Wright City's victory bumped their record up to 14-11.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's contest: Allen has made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having averaged 8.2 threes per game. It's a different story for Wright City, though, as they've been averaging only 3.7 three-pointers. Given Allen's sizable advantage in that area, Wright City will need to find a way to close that gap.
