The Garland Christian Academy Swordsmen won the last time they faced the Alcuin Hawks, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Garland Christian Academy enjoyed a cozy 37-20 victory over Alcuin. The win made it back-to-back wins for Garland Christian Academy.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Garland Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caden Sandlin, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Sandlin is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jarren Edgerson, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Garland Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Alcuin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Highlands the next time they take the court. Garland Christian Academy will host Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Alcuin will head out to face them on Tuesday.
