The D'Hanis Cowboys will face off against the Charlotte Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Charlotte will take on a team with plenty of momentum: D'Hanis extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Cowboys put the hurt on Sabinal with a sharp 9-1 win. The Cowboys might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by eight runs or more this season.

Brent Frosch made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Josiah Rodriguez was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Aaron Chapman was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Charlotte). They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over Brackett on Friday. The game was the first time the Trojans have beaten the Tigers on their field since March 30, 2021.
Like D'Hanis, Charlotte also got a great game from a two-way player: Josh Gaitan. He struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Gaitan has become a key player for Charlotte: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 3-10 otherwise. Gaitan was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Julian Cruz, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Preston Castillo, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Charlotte always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Charlotte's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11. As for D'Hanis, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
D'Hanis took their victory against Charlotte in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 20-3 score. Will the Cowboys repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
