The Lake Hamilton Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Pulaski Academy 26-21. Lake Hamilton lost against Pulaski Academy in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 41-39 score last time.
Lake Hamilton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Coy Autrey, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown. Dylan Murphy was another key contributor, rushing for 100 yards and a touchdown.
The critical scores for Pulaski Academy came from Walt Smiley, Nate Thomas, and Walden Culpepper.
Lake Hamilton's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.3 points per game. As for Pulaski Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Lake Hamilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pulaski Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against El Dorado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. El Dorado is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
