Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Krum

Krum entered their tilt with Lake Dallas on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 9-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Lillian Williams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Jazmine Jackson was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Addyson Zimmerman was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Krum always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Dallas only posted an OBP of .192.

Krum's record now sits at 22-3. As for Lake Dallas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Krum will square off against Van Alstyne at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bobcats 2.6, the Panthers 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Lake Dallas, they will host Celina at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
