Sahuarita's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alejandro Vega, who scored 15 points along with five steals. Vega is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Trevizo, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Rio Rico's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Angel Valenzuela, who scored ten points along with five assists and three steals. Valenzuela is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Jacob Ley was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Sahuarita's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-22. As for Rio Rico, their victory bumped their record up to 5-18.
