After a string of four wins, the Shawnee Indians's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 76-56 walloping at the hands of Lima Senior. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Shawnee has suffered yet this season.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Beckett Bertke, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Bertke hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Pasion, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Lima Senior, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawnee will take on Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Memorial is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Lima Senior, they will be playing at home against Rogers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rogers will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while Lima Senior is ranked 219th).
