The Temple City Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 66-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Monrovia. Despite the loss, Temple City still got an impressive performance from Justin Chung, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chung has scored all season. Brayden Kwan was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Temple City struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Temple City has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Monrovia, their victory bumped their record up to 8-17.
Temple City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Monrovia will play host again and welcome the Jaguars, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Palmdale Academy Charter School is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
