Baseball Game Preview: Stewarts Creek Red Hawks vs. Rockvale

For the second straight game, Stewarts Creek will face off against Rockvale. Stewarts Creek will square off against Rockvale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Stewarts Creek was able to grind out a solid victory over Rockvale, taking the game 4-1. The Red Hawks haven't had any issues with Rockvale recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Caleb Lawson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Stewarts Creek is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-8 otherwise.

At the plate, Ayden Jackson was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted over his last 15 matchups. Hunter Blanton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Stewarts Creek's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Rockvale, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
