The Morrow Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 63-35 loss at the hands of Jonesboro. Morrow has struggled against the Cardinals recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Jonesboro found their leader in underclassman Brianna Mason, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Mason is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Cameryn Hartry was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Morrow's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Jonesboro, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.
Morrow won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Lovejoy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 152nd). Jonesboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
