Warrensburg didn't have too much trouble with Hoosic Valley last week as they won 34-14. Senior Evan MacDuff was the offensive standout of the match for Warrensburg, as he rushed for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns. In fact, with 10 tackles MacDuff was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, Fort Edward might have drawn first blood against Whitehall, but it was Whitehall who got the last laugh. Fort Edward took a 20-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Whitehall. Fort Edward were down by 6-33 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Warrensburg's win lifted them to 1-1 while Fort Edward's defeat dropped them down to 0-2. We'll see if Warrensburg's success rolls on or if Fort Edward are able to steal their positive momentum.
