Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lancaster County Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Esbenshade, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Esbenshade has scored all season. Sheldon Fisher was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Despite the defeat, York Country Day saw an underclassman step up: Ryan Maus scored 21 points along with five steals. Maus hasn't dropped below three steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah White, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Lancaster County Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for York Country Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-4.
Lancaster County Christian and Dayspring Christian Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Lancaster County Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday. As for York Country Day, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against New Covenant Christian at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. York Country Day is coming into the game with ten straight losses on the road, meaning New Covenant Christian will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
