White River is 1-9 against Enumclaw since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. White River will take on Enumclaw at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with White River sitting on five straight victories and Enumclaw on eight.
White River will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Orting, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Hornets walked away with an 18-14 win over the Cardinals on Friday. The game was the first time the Hornets have beaten the Cardinals on their field since May 16, 2022.

Laken Elvig made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kennedy Selander, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Grace Wolff was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
White River was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .463. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Enumclaw came out on top against Auburn Mountainview on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Hornets put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 7-1 victory. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.
Alyssa Harris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up 14 Ks.
On the hitting side, Ava Lim was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylie Plyler, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Enumclaw's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. As for White River, their record is now 6-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. White River hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Enumclaw struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
White River might still be hurting after the 16-4 loss they got from Enumclaw in their previous meeting back in March. Can White River avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
