Carroll is 2-8 against Delphi Community since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the Oracles at 5:30 p.m. Carroll is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
While Carroll's win against Faith Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars skirted past the Eagles 10-9.
Charlotte Kingery made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
In other batting news, Carroll let Serenity DeBoard and Madyson Isley run wild. DeBoard got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Isley went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Olivia Schroder also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Delphi Community had taken Twin Lakes down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Oracles fell just short of the Indians by a score of 6-4. Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Carroll hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. However, it's not like Delphi Community struggles in that department as they've averaged .395. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Carroll got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Delphi Community by a conclusive 18-2 score. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Oracles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
