The Walton Braves entered their tilt with the South Walton Seahawks with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Walton snuck past South Walton with a 52-47 win on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Walton, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Walton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Kring out in front who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Neenan, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Walton is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for South Walton, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walton will take on Florala at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Florala is ranked 128th in Alabama, while Walton is ranked 135th in Florida). As for South Walton, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Gulf Breeze at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Gulf Breeze is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
