Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Central of Coosa County Cougars walked away with it. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 52-42 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Central of Coosa County.
Central of Coosa County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jerquesha Heard, who almost dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 21 rebounds, and nine blocks. Heard hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games. Queen Ballard was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 19 rebounds.
Central of Coosa County pushed their record up to 10-6 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Comer, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.
