St. Francis waltzed into their matchup on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights. With that win, the Mariners brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Zach Perry made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andrew Xolot, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Kingston Liddell was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

St. Francis will face off against Heritage Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Milwaukee Lutheran, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Martin Luther at 1:00 p.m.
