The Wewoka Tigers lost against the Allen Mustangs last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Wewoka fell to Allen 52-47. Wewoka has struggled against Allen recently, as their match on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Timber Carter, who shot 4-for-4 from long range and dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Carter hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Shaniece Stephens, who scored 15 points.
Wewoka's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Allen, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wewoka and Prague will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Prague will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Wewoka is ranked 59th). As for Allen, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Stuart at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
