The Hugo Buffaloes were the 61-41 winner over the Wright City Lumberjax when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Hugo fell to Wright City 43-38.
Wright City was led to victory by Kase Lindly and Rayner Beene. Lindly scored 16 points, while Beene scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lindly has scored at least 25% of Wright City's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Green, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds.
Hugo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wright City, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Hugo will head out on the road to face off against Broken Bow at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wright City won't have much time to rest: their next match is against De Queen at 5:30 p.m. on December 2nd. De Queen will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 178th in Arkansas, while Wright City is ranked 28th in Oklahoma).
